BREAKING! Morocco FA to donate gate takings to earthquake victims

The Royal Moroccan Football Federation has announced that it will donate all the proceeds from the friendly match between Morocco and Burkina Faso to be held on Tuesday 12 September 2023 to the Special Fund dedicated to receiving voluntary solidarity contributions for managing the consequences of the earthquake.

Majority of the gate takings are expected from Moroccan community living abroad.

However, the  second friendly match that was expected to take place on Monday  between Morocco and Brazil’s U23 squads as part of their preparations for the 2024 Paris Olympics, was cancelled.

It fell within the three-day national mourning declared by the Royal Office of King Mohammed VI.

The national football family has sent its sympathy and profound condolences to the relatives of the deceased and wishes those injured a speedy recovery under these difficult circumstances.
