Frenchman, Karim Benzema has denied snubbing Cristiano Ronaldo, when the latter visited the training session of Real Madrid ahead of this Sunday night El Clasico match between Real Madrid and Barcelona in the final of the Spanish Super Cup, holding this Sunday, at ten o’clock in the evening, Saudi time.

Both Ronaldo and Benzema were teammates when the former was in Real Madrid. That both players did not take pictures together sparked off speculations of broken down relationship.

The topic came up at the Real Madrid press conference on Saturday. Benzema was asked why there was no photo of the two former teammates to come out of that meeting and the Frenchman revealed that they didn’t actually cross paths.

“I think Cristiano Ronaldo is happy here, I hope he can keep scoring goals and being decisive,” Benzema stated.

“He was at our training session, but we didn’t need a photo to show we’re friends. We don’t need that for Instagram and Twitter and all that.

“Even though he was there, I didn’t have time to say hello to him. Hopefully I can see him tomorrow (this Sunday) at the final and speak to him.”
