Top sports journalists, Olajire, Omotoyinbo and Promise Efoge demand gifts from Flying Eagles

Ademola Olajire, Promise Efoghe and Ayodeji Omotoyinbo

Head of the media department of the Nigeria Football Federation, Ademola Olajire and his counterpart at the TVC, Promise Efoge as well as Deji Omotoyinbo want the Flying Eagles to win Monday’s semi-final match of the U20 Africa Cup of Nations as their birthday gifts.

The trio share the same birth day of 6 March with the late sage, Chief Obafemi Awolowo.

Deji Omotoyinbo clocks a milestone of 60. Olajire is 55 , while the younger, but promising Promise Efoge is 43.

Omotoyinbo has been a sportscaster of long standing having been on the beat for over 25 years. He is at the moment the a director at Sportsvision Nigeria limited and author of the book, “The Basics Of Sportscasting”.

Ademola Olajire who is 55 today is the longest serving image-maker for any sports body in Nigeria.

After a career in sports journalism for 15 years, he joined the Nigeria Football Federation as head of media in 2007 and had served under three presidents of the federation and currently with the fourth.

Promise Efoghe is the sports editor at TVC Communications. Before then, he was a senior sports producer at DAAR Communications from May 2008 to September 2010.

A win by the Flying Eagles will be perfect gifts for the trio.
